§ 2-148.1. Non-payment of court ordered penalty, fines.

  • (a)

    If an order/judgment entered by the county court after a hearing on the charges set forth in the citation remains unpaid after the time set forth by the court in the order/judgment, the City of Deltona, at its option, may:

    (1)

    Refer the matter to a collection agency for collection of the judgment;

    (2)

    Set a hearing in county court for the defendant to appear before the court to show cause why the defendant should not be held in contempt for failure to abide by the court's order;

    (3)

    Take any other action available at law to collect the judgment, to include, but not be limited to, filing a lien against the defendant's property, garnishment or levy.

    (c)

    The city shall be entitled to recover all costs of collection, including, but not limited to, reasonable attorneys fees.
